Stingray's continual tweaking of its patented Z-plane hull has manifested itself in this newest of cuddy cabins, a brand
new model for 2010, and a delightfully fast, stable, solid, and smooth-riding family overnighter. Why "split personality?"
Certainly the unique split bow rail is one thing, but the multi-functionality of this pocket cruiser seals the deal. It is
indeed a boat for all reasons.
The 235CR cuddy cabin is one of ten "cruiser" models in Stingray's line-up for 2010 ranging from 19 to 25 feet, and one
of 27 models overall. Cuddy cabins have been a staple for Stingray over the years and this new one, at almost 24 feet LOA
on an 8'5" beam should prove to be a real winner with its very complete list of standard equipment.
A large, integrated, extended swim platform with transom shower, storage box and concealed boarding ladder enhances
multiple watersport activities and a new starboard side companionway permits easy access to the deep cockpit. There you'll
find a stern and port side L-shaped lounge and a padded sundeck, all with ample finished storage beneath with dedicated
storage for the cockpit table. A starboard-side refreshment center features a countertop with sink and pressure water and
a portable cooler tucked below.
The comfortable driver and passenger adjustable buckets have a flip-up forward bolster and visibility at all speeds is
unobstructed. The helm is laid out in two tiers with a soft vinyl "eyebrow" to shield the required instrumentation from
bright sun. Side vent windows are a Stingray trait and most effective when you most want them. A full fiberglass
self-draining inner liner keeps maintenance low and adds to the rigidity and strength of the entire boat. Add the optional
snap-in carpet and full acrylic enclosure canvas to the standard bimini top to "Canadianize" your purchase.
Enter the roomy cuddy through a port-side lockable bi-fold door with smoked Lexan inserts and relax on a truly sizable
berth with ample storage plus a standard porta-potti with pumpout and a butane stove with auto-start and its own case. A
screened overhead hatch provides natural lighting and ventilation.
The foredeck is accessed via three moulded steps from the cockpit equipped with stainless steel grab rails doubling as
windshield supports. Two additional longitudinal rails along the foredeck provide safety grab-holds leading to the
aforementioned classy and functional split bow rails. Once at the bow, check out the forward deck locker housing not only
an anchor mount and concealed telescoping stainless steel ladder, but also room for storing fenders and lines! The split
bow rails not only allow ease of access and use of the bow boarding ladder but double as handrail assists. Neat!
