"There's a silver lining to every dark cloud." This is something that became apparent to me this past January. I had a 1989 17' Sunbird Corsica that was destroyed in a fire at the boat yard where it was being stored for the winter. It had an OMC 4.3 and was in great condition. That was the dark cloud. The silver lining was when I purchased a leftover 2000 Stingray 220LX with the 5.0 EFI Alpha 1 from Wards Boat Shop In Ossipee, N.H.

I was very impressed with your extensive web site, your concern for the envirorment, and the great service at Wards. I researched several boat manufacturers including Campion and Mariah, and found Stingray to have so much more to offer at a reasonable price.

The true test came when I picked up the boat on April 20th. We launched and cruised Lake Ossipee for several hours, and we were hooked on Stingray. This is one superb handling boat that manuevers well from headway speed running the channels to cruising speed on the lake. My wife and I are very impressed with the layout and design of the LX with so many standard features that are optional on other boats.

We are looking forward to the summer to enjoy all this 220LX has to offer.

Thanks Stingray,

John and Sandy McQuiggan
