My wife and I have been boating since we were children growing up on the shores of Lake Michigan. We finally bought our own boat when we moved to Kentucky (my dad sold his and my neighbors in Kentucky didn't have boats).

We bought a 1985 16' Stingray. It has been in Lake Michigan and several KY lakes. It has been in the water at Lake Cumberland for the last 3 years.

I keep looking at the new ones but somehow they just don't stack up. The old 140 HP Merc just keeps on ticking and in spite of a faded hull, the old rascal still looks OK and the SS prop is 14 years old and hardly a nick. Hey you V8'ers, I can ski and lunch and swim and cruise all day and get change from a $20 bill at the marina.
